Meet Dr. Ayik
Dr. Ayik Dr. Ayik received his undergraduate from Tennessee Technological University and his doctorate of dental surgery (DDS) from the University of Tennessee, College of Dentistry. After graduation, he was commissioned as a Naval Officer in the United States Navy and served for four years. He earned an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) certificate at the Naval Medical/Dental Center San Diego, California. After his tenure in the US Navy, he completed a 27-month advanced specialty training in root canals and microsurgical endodontics at The Texas A&M Health Science Center Baylor College of Dentistry, where he served as chief resident in his final year of training. He currently holds Board-eligibility status from the American Board of Endodontics. Dr. Ayik has published a ground breaking article that has been cited numerous times in current dental literature- Woodmansey KF, Ayik M, Buschang PH, White C, He J. Maximum bite force and chewing efficiency of dental implants and endodontically treated teeth: a preliminary clinical study. J Endod. 2009; 35(1)10-4. |
